FILM/VIDEO: Chemical Brothers: Star Guitar

YouTube neilt0 | September 18, 2009 | Directed by Michel Gondry | Accessed August 2010

Michel Gondrys creation for The Chemical Brothers 'Star Guitar' is still by far one of the best music video's ever made. It uses objects passing by the train window to indicate every beat in the track. The actual route the train takes exists and is the ride between Nimes and Valence in France, which Michel Gondry shot several times to get the right consistency of light for its recreation. The link below shows the initial stages of how the video was made, starting with him jotting down where the various beats come in/out then making a mock example of the video at the end using paint buckets, glasses, books and various other objects.. Make sure you watch till the end because its amazing how it all comes together even in that format!
